My short fiction has appeared in dozens of books and magazines, including such award-winning anthologies as Unspeakable Horror, Dark Delicacies, The Museum of Horrors, Mondo Zombie and Dark Terrors. I've written three non-fiction books - The Cinema of Tsui Hark, The Halloween Encyclopedia, and A Hallowe'en Anthology: Literary and Historical Writings Over the Centuries - and my screenplay credits include Blood Angels, Tornado Warning and Meet the Hollowheads. I've received the Bram Stoker Award twice - once in 2006 for Short Fiction ("Tested" from Cemetery Dance magazine) and most recently in 2008 (Non-fiction, for A Hallowe'en Anthology). I'm a lifelong Californian, and currently reside in the San Fernando Valley.
The Lucid Dreaming (novella, to be published 2009 by Bad Moon Books); The Castle of Los Angeles (novel, to be published 2009 by Gray Friar Press); Savage Detours: The Life and Work of Ann Savage (to be published 2009 by McFarland).

Have written extensively about Asian cinema (see my current column "The East is Red" at FearZone.com), and love anything to do with Halloween, especially collecting vintage postcards and books.
