where the writers are
I made the winner's circle!

I managed to reach 50K on the 22nd, actually, and I've been working toward 60K, with a final goal of 65K. This goal is one I'm not sure I'll make before 11:59:59 p.m. on the 30th, but if I don't, that's okay. There's a lot more of my book to write, and then the editing...

The problem is that there's a lot more on my plate than just writing. I have to merge and migrate two websites before mid-February, as well as try to work on my fan fiction WIPs, and updating my role playing site. This all sounds terribly childish, I'm sure, but it's part of my life and has been for nearly 6 years now. Plus cooking, laundry and assorted duties as mom and wife (and pet owner). The holidays are coming, and there's lots to do for that as well.

So, the life of a part-time writer is sometimes caught between spurts of domesticity. But if I take away anything from NaNoWriMo 2008, it's the importance of writing every day... even if I do have to squeeze it in between loads of laundry and taking out the dog.
