Have ever asked yourself how did Einstein discover the equation: E=mc2? Why did this equation make him so famous?
Let’s tell the story based on true characters…
A long time ago, way back in the 17th century, someone was very respected and known because he had shocked everyone by explaining there was a force that hold things to the ground called gravity. A young man, not known to the modern society asked the respected man,” How do you know what you say is right?”
The known man answered,” I create a theory establishing its possible effects. I write them down. If the conclusions match the effects, then I am right.”
The still anxious youngster asked,” However… What happens if you are missing something in your observations? Could you be wrong?”
The esteemed man, knew he could be wrong, but he knew no one wanted to hear that. So, he told community many other things, like: time is absolute.
At those times, Aristotle, a Greek philosopher had said that the universe was fixed, perfect, and infinite. So, it seemed pretty rational to believe on the man who said time was absolute. If the skies were unchangeable, so must be time.
Many years passed by, but no one dared to confront the basic ideas of the way the world worked. They still thought that man from the 17th century was right.
A lot of people were in need of understanding more… Things were invented, so the way we could measure and test things became more and more accurate. This meant you could find errors in theories with more ease.
So, one day, in 1915, another man thought… What if… Things are not as they have taught me… What if… I could ride the light. What if… light does not move, but time does?
What would happen if I could see the light from the inside? What would happen if I could see myself riding light through a mirror?
And so, by this the man called Einstein understood time is relative to the observer, and light is not.
This small change in one’s paradigms can make you become a genius, united with a lot of effort. Einstein had to work on equations to prove he was right, and he did. Is it difficult to dare to ask questions, and answer things that may seem absurd to others? Paradigm shifting can be easy or difficult. It depends on us. Are we willing to be called crazy because your ideas are impossible or irrational to the vast majority?
Try it out
There are five apples in a basket. How can you give five apples to five people, but you must leave one apple in the basket?
Draw a circle with a dot inside it without lifting the pencil from the paper.
The first step is to respect others because everybody is different. You must do also be repectful to others as well, if they don't like to be creative, You can be yourself even though others might find it strange, and the point is to really find not-thought solutions to create yourself a nice life.
In fact, the first paradigm shifting could be done to yourself by yourself. Even though, no one notices.
Here are some examples:
- If you believe lettuce could not be cooked; cook it.
- If you believe you can’t help homeless children in your neighborhood because you don’t have money; start thinking you don’t need money to do so.
- If you believe there is just one way to color a page green is with colors; find an alternate solution, like use leaves, paint it, and have fun.
- Start by finding easy paradigm shifting solutions that mean good and important things to you, but may not affect others drastically in the short term.
Who is the respected and known man in the story?

What does E=mc2 mean?
