Well, there is certainly no end to editing! My computer and Duckworth's, to quote my editor, "don't play well together," so it was rather stressful sending drafts back and forth and dealing with computer-generated hurdles (such as not being able to underline something). Now the copy editor has the ms. My husband's photo of me has drawn no end of derision, people saying I look "really pissed off," etc. so I'm going to see a professional photographer this afternoon.
I am now the proud owner of an Amazon Kindle 2, and I must say I like it. I now get the New Yorker on it ; no more digging old issues out of the sofa cushions, etc. I also read "The Kindly Ones" on it, and appreciated the light weight. I hope my wrists can withstand "2666," it's unavailable for the Kindle.
