Married almost 22 years..The last 2 years seem to have been the toughest yet...Would it be linked to having kids move onto College? Becoming empty nesters and rediscovering each other? I'm sure all that and much more. I've been journaling and meditating a lot on this topic and have found the more I look deeper at my marriage the more I discover about myself, some fascinating and inspiring and others things that aren't so good, that aren't so wise...I think as the kids leave home and move into their own lives marriages are forced into a type of excavation....:) more to come on that subject

I live on the Monterey bay. I have the good fortune to work in an industry that I love.
The hospitality industry gives me the muse to blog about my home town and create travel itineraries for visitors to the area.
I tend to write in spurts for hours into the late night, Van Morrison is my usual companion on these late night flurries of words as I try to understand through written therapy my marriage, raising kids, myself and life in general.
I've recently discovered that all that I've been seeking is already here within me waiting to be discovered, waiting for me to overcome all that I've feared. Imagine that discovery in your 40s?
