It happens. You are in the middle of a creative and productive frenzy and suddenly – you hit the wall!
Your adrenalin has been pumping for days, even weeks. You have been on a new creative adventure and then suddenly the bubble bursts…
Clarity sets in. Your enthusiasm is replaced with horror.
“Why didn’t I see this coming” you scold yourself. “This is just too hard. I need to bring in an expert”
Then you remind yourself just who you are: An explorer of ideas, an adventurer on the seas of inspiration, a warrior in the battle of creative obstacles.
And you have learned – a wall is there for a reason. Its purpose is to create a new path of opportunity. It is just a way of your intuitive mind telling you to “Stop! Clear your mind! Take a rest! Let your creativity free! Let it breathe again!
An idea is born in an instant. We nurture it with constant attention. However, there is a fine line between nurturing and smothering.
“To express yourself in a creative way you don't need structure you need an empty mind.” Quote by E’yen A Gardner.
As we develop our idea into a viable entity… our minds expand to accommodate the vast amounts of necessary research and information.
All this new information can become tangled causing our progress to be stunted.
As the great Albert Einstein said. “The Mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size.
So stop, breathe and clear your mind when you hit the wall. It is our mind’s gentle reminder that although we have 70,000 thoughts a day and 1.5 thoughts a minute - we need to be thinking them with clarity.
And don't you find - when your mind has become clear again... the obstacle is removed - just like magic?
