Moorea, a therapy cat, arrives at any of the several nursing homes or hospice facilities she visits regularly in her rather posh carriage and often wearing her personal tiara. The residents welcome her with enthusiasm.
The little calico cat that was found wandering the streets seems an unlikely candidate for pet-assisted therapy. Yet, like successful therapy dogs, Moorea has an intuitive quality and a friendly, people-loving personality that allow her to bond readily with the people she visits.
