I earned a BS in education from Texas A&M University and taught school for twelve years until I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of writing professionally. My publications include poems in The Chrisitian Communicator, May 2011, Skive Magazine- November 2010, poetsesspresso, A Handful of Stones, Poets for Living Waters (open mic), Poetic Asides, The Dead Mule's School of Southern Literature; short stories in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotional Stories for Tough Times, Christmas Miracles by Cecil Murphy and Marley Gibson, The Dead Mule’s School Society of Southern Literature- September 2010, It’s In the Gulf, and to be released October, 2011, s story in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotionals for Tough Times. I am a member of The Academy of American Poets and the local writer’s guild. I live in Southeast Texas with my husband, three children and two dogs.
