I really enjoyed Tina Sloan's book - it's full of humor, practical wisdom, great stories and some juicy tidbits that any fan of Ms. Sloan's work in television and on the big screen will appreciate. She's a born storyteller - her narrative voice is warm, familiar and comfortable, like an old friend or a favorite sweater...but she manages to avoid being overly sentimental or sachrine-sweet.
Don't make the mistake of thinking this is a book for soap fans, only: I've already reccomended Changing Shoes to a few women I know who aren't familair with Ms. Sloan's work, and who have never watched soaps, but who are at "that age" and are asking, "what next?" The stories she tells are universal - universally interesting, and universally funny. Definitely worth picking up.
