Saturday, March 20, was a fun and interesting day. I went to a local author fair with Elissa Malcohn, and had a blast.
Though I did not do any promoting for my stuff (I missed the entry deadline), I took pictures and met some really cool authors.
They served refreshments and many of the authors brought candy to entice potential readers over. Hey, it worked. I wandered over!
My daughter, who accompanied me and Elissa, was disappointed that there were not more children/teen authors with books out. The range of books went from romance to science fiction to horror to mystery and everything in between.
This fair wasn't only for authors to be seen, but a certain percentage of author sales were donated to the library.
All in all, a mutually beneficial experience for everyone involved.
