Thoughts at Nightfall
Peaceful night falls softly,
Touching the earth
In gentle shadows.
Treetops are ablaze
With the sun’s last rays.
Time pauses
On the cusp of light and dark,
Breathless.
My soul is reborn
Into the burning fires of love,
Illuminating the shadows of my heart.
