Spend What You Make and Not a Dime More

These two articles quote one of my op-eds. I am quoted correctly but I do not support the conclusion that the debt ceiling should be raised. Raising the debt ceiling is like setting limits for your child, and when they break the rules you tell them, "There will be no punishment this time, but next time I really mean it." There is no reason to expect politicians will begin making the tough choices and spend responsibly the next time around if they can't do it this time. When your budget is in the trillions, spending within your means should not be an insurmountable task.
