Kristin Fouquet, a native of New Orleans, is a writer and photographer. Le Salon is her home away from home.
I’m a great admirer of the short form. The first short story collections I read were those of Guy de Maupassant. Flannery O’Connor’s work has certainly affected me as have J.D. Salinger’s shorts, and P.G. Wodehouse. Recently, I told someone that I wear my love of Raymond Carver on my sleeve like an old worn-out torch singer. There’s still so much I have to read and to learn.
