My first book, Doctor Olaf van Schuler's Brain, was released by Algonquin in October 2008. Pieces of the book have appeared in the Southwest Review, Maryland Review, and Post Road, among other publications. My work has been short listed for the Richard Yates Award, the Iowa Review Story Contest, and the Andre Dubus Award. I earned an MA in English and creative writing from SFSU and a BA in economics from Haverford College. I live in San Francisco with my husband, daugher, and cat, and I once worked as a production manager for Hotwired.com and as the Director of Production for Salon.com.
