Mojo Magazine readers vote "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" #5 Book of the Year
Blog Post by Kim Cooper - Apr.09.2008 - 12:28 pm
I'm awfully pleased to report that the Mojo Magazine readers poll for Book of the Year 2007 are in, and my oral history of Neutral Milk Hotel made it into the top 5!
And the winners are:
1. There's a Riot Going On - Peter Doggett
2. Bowie, Bolan and the Brooklyn Boy - Tony Visconti
5. 33 1/3: Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea - Kim Cooper
Congrats to all the other authors (and what heady company, Bowie mainman Tony Visconti, sigh...), and thanks to Mojo's readers, always the sharpest rock fans in the drawer, for the support.

Congrats!
Congrats on that. I'm envious.
Mojo!
My eye was drawn to that issue of Mojo the other day at Amoeba Records here in San Francisco. Anything with The Smiths has a tendency to do that. I didn't pick it up (as a result of my fetish, I've sort of OD'd on Smiths journalism) , but maybe I will now.
