Poetry Live!…On the Edge

Join us in a coffee house atmosphere for coffee, wine, and poetry reading with award-winning poets Kim Addonizio and Susan Browne in celebration of National Poetry Month.

Browne teaches at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California, and at Esalen Institute. Her poems have recently appeared on Garrison Keillor’s Writer’s Almanac and Ted Kooser’s American Life in Poetry. Her second book of poetry, Zephyr, won the Editor’s Prize at Steel Toe Books (www.steeltoebooks.com), and will be published in the fall, 2010.

Addonizio’s books of poetry include Lucifer at the Starlite (W. W. Norton, 2009), Tell Me (BOA Editions, 2000), which was a finalist for the National Book Award; Jimmy & Rita (1997); The Philosopher’s Club (1994); and Three West Coast Women, with Laurie Duesing and Dorianne Laux (1987). She was a founding editor of the journal Five Fingers Review, teaches in the M.F.A. program at Goddard College and lives in San Francisco.
