I like to think of myself as a Centrist, so if you’re looking for a right-wing or left-wing point of view, I’m not your guy. If ‘fair and balanced’ hadn’t been so maligned by Fox News, that would be my goal.
Gails of Laughter, though: With that in mind, while Gail Collins isn’t my very favorite columnist, she hit my funny bone in her New York Times column today, starting with Jon Huntsman wanting to be the ‘Rick Santorum of New Hampshire.' And she kept me smiling, right up to the end, where she ended on this bizarre note:
“Did I ever mention that Romney once drove to Canada with the family Irish setter strapped to the roof of the car? The dog’s name was Seamus. New Hampshire Republicans, if you can’t think of anybody to vote for on Tuesday, consider writing in the name Seamus when you go to the polls. Maybe we can start a boomlet.”
Here's the column that's had me smiling all day: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/05/opinion/collins-the-march-of-the-non-mitts.html?_r=1&hp
To maintain my Centrist credentials, I include the column where The Wall Street Journal asked Mr. Romney to give his side of the Seamus story.
