When people read my work for the first time I'm often asked how did you write that? I don't sit and plan my novels, I'm certainly not methodical in my approach to my writing . Like the rest of my life I use my commen sense to guide me, and hope that it guides me well, it has so far.
I'm no scholar, I never passed high school and left early to save myself further embarrassment. I don't write novels that set the literary world a blaze. I very much doubt You will ever see my face on the front of Red Room. What you will get however is a great journey and a fun ride, if you invest yourself in one of my books. I have the ability to take you to unique places of intrigue and wonder with some great characters.
I have completed three novels, with the first now published. Dream Raider is it's title and it is a fun ride. I was 33yrs old when I sat down to write this story, (more insight in my other blog.) The thing that impacts me most these days when I look back now is how quickly the ideas inflated when I really put my mind to it. They seemed to start living and breathing on their own, I felt like I was following them around and cleaning up after them using what they discarded. Now that's a cool concept you could certainly write a book about that.
When I write, I write as my characters I live their lives and feel what they feel. I converse with the other characters and immerse myself in their world. I love to get lost in my novels and wander around freely, just investigating and exploring. I sometimes get the feeling that my characters are getting impatient, waiting for me to finish writing their lives.
