Born in New Orleans, K. T. Mitchell began writing at age ten, spurred by a love of words and an analytical mind. Since then Ms. Mitchell has published poetry, short fiction, literary reviews, essays and salacious tidbits in New York Magazine, Standford University's Black Arts Quarterly, The Adirondack Review, Howard University's Amistad Magazine and Tribes Magazine.
