Like my mother always said, "Put on some lipstick before you walk out the door (although Sarah Palin's endorsement of this feat has made me revert to ChapStick). You never know who you're going to run into." So two weeks ago, I attended the grand opening of my dear friend Lisa Reed's flower studio in Philadelphia. And an actual papparazzi showed up and took some shots. HughE showcases Philadelphia's hip happenings from his blog PHILLYCHITCHAT and his photos have been published in media outlets here and in NYC.

We had a blast at this elegant and fun new shop, hangin' on the corner in Philly (and my Mom used to yell at me for that) near the Philadelphia Art Museum. Should such events be sought out, poses struck, and smiles shone glassy so that your image gets disseminated into the ether and maybe someone will read your book.? Hell, no. Go because it's fun. And, in this particular case, the food was awesome. Kudos to Mrs. P. and all the neighborhood friends who pitched in. If you're ever in Philadelphia, stop by Fleur de Lys flower studio for some flora and eclectic gifts! (25th and Aspen Streets).
p.s. There was no red carpet. But Bucks County photographer (who took my Zubis head shots) Denise Bierach and I did strike a pose just next to the stoop.
