Michele felt the iciness of his touch even though
...she shouldn’t have been able to, and the heat it
generated in the core of her, was a shock to her system.
This ghost was turning her on! Boy, she must really be
starved for attention.
She drew her face away. “This is insane. I am
not your Michele. Your Michele died over 200 years
ago. My name just happens to be the same as hers,
nothing more.”
He chuckled again. “Did you not see the portrait?
You saw the resemblance, I know you did.”
“It is absolutely impossible that I could even be
related to the family that your Michele belonged to.”
“It’s fate, my love.”
“Stop calling me that. It’s creepy. I don’t even
know you…You don’t even exist!”
“Oh but I do exist, Michele. I am a spirit, true
enough, but I exist. I am as real as you are. I’ve been
saving all my energy for the day you arrived.” He
approached her again and laid his ghostly lips on hers.
She started to draw back when she felt their touch, but
something held her still. He kissed her, softly. Michele
tried to push him away her arm meeting thin air, yet she
felt the kiss.
