The Monterey Jazz Festival celebrates 50 years, and is the longest consecutive running music festival in history. This book features the "art" of Monterey Jazz through its posters, handbills, and various graphic art creations. Woven within the graphic presentation are five cogent essays, one for each decade.

Usually when we conclude a literary project, holding the final book in your hands is a bit anti-climactic. However, this being our 15th book, it's still fun flipping through the pages, since it's our first coffee table art book. The Monterey Jazz organization are lovely people to work with and have loads of integrity. It was fun researching the five essays and keeping them to a very strict word count. Kudos to the SF Public Library, where we did most of our research!
