This book was our first for a smaller press, and reflects our love of a special brand of contemporary music of the singer/songwriter variety. We were there when the Flying Burrito Brothers hit the stage at Altamont and discuss the band's impact with Chris Hillman. But most authorities fail to realize that this genre of music that's currently made popular by fine bands like Wilco owe a tremendous debt to Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett. As far as we're concerned, they lit the fuse of this music in spite of what you're told by tosspots like No Depression magazine.
