Katie Amatruda's short story "Suburbia" won an honorable mention in the prestigious 2010 Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition, and "Wizzy-wig" was honored in 2008 - it's now online at http://shortstorycomp.blogspot.com/2009/03/wizzy-wig-by-kate-amatruda.html and is the basis of her latest novel.
Katie is a member of the Marin California Writers Club, Left Coast Writers, and attended the Squaw Valley Writers Workshops in August 2008 and 2009. When she's not responding to disasters, seeing clients, or writing about trauma, she's scrying for an agent for her novel.
