The End of Being A Love Slave

I know you've been dying to read a book set in 1999 Belgrade during the Balkan civil wars. Well, here's an excerpt of my novel, A PARTIAL HISTORY OF MY DELUSIONS. The fruit of many years of labor. I'm done with being a love slave to my book. Now I get to whore myself to the publishing industry. Although I am finding an abundance of visionary, devoted small presses. Just read Randa Jarrar's A MAP OF HOME and Eva Hoffman's APPASSIONATA published by Other Press. Two of the best books I've read in ages. Insightful books continue to flourish.

What is the one sentence that describes my book? It is a story about three people increasingly torn between their goals -- activist, artistic, and patriotic -- and their desire for human connection.
