I am a 30 years old, queer femme, Afro German/Cubana, mixed-chick, trans-national, promigrant and lgbt advocate. I received my Master of Arts degree from Villanova University. I am also a freelance writer and speak regularly on cultural diversity and transnational race relations. I am passionate about strengthening relationships between Afro German and Black German communities in the United States and the European Diaspora, as well as facilitating capacity building among other groups working to eradicate racism for all People of Color. I speak fluent German, love to read, spend time with my family and friends, and travel.
I draw considerable inspiration from authors such as Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, and May Ayim, on whose shoulders I stand today.
I am writing an UnMemoir of sorts. I want to fuse my journey with how historical realities about race and nationality in the post WWII era have shaped contemporary German society.
traveling, learning new languages, meeting people from different cultures, anthropology - gender in tribal communities, discovering my voice, and chocolate
