My novel The Gate House was re-released in May, 2012 by Whiskey Creek Press. I am currently working on a sequel to The Gate House, set during World War II as well as the present day. I find much inspiration for my writing when I travel. Somehow my mind is more relaxed then, and the stories come into my mind of their own accord. My articles have appeared in a number of publications including The Tico Times, the English language newspaper in Costa Rica, where I lived for seven years, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
I currently live in Pennsylvania with my husband and two cats, but I grew up on a farm in Illinois. After in the Chicago area for a number of years, I moved to Costa Rica in 1992, where I met my husband. Between us we have a daughter, two sons, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law and a grandson who are all really cool people.

Besides writing and reading other people's books, I enjoy cooking, traveling, hiking, occasionally playing the piano. I am a member of the Baha'i Faith and try to be involved in activities for the Faith.
