How many times can a person read Bambi Grows Up in one day? Apparently, the possibilities are endless when the little people that you are reading to are 3 years old & a year and 10 months. I spent the day yesterday running after these two little ankle-biters for what seemed like an eternity, but was in fact only six hours. Yes, yes, hats off to those of you who do it every day.
Priceless time, no doubt, that they will remember forever...right. Sitting and reading to them was the best possible moment I've had in a really long time. It was perfect, both of them sideling up against me, fully attentive to the compelling story of a baby deer & his tribe. It was the book they chose, it being thrown on the floor earlier in the day. If it were up to me, I would have picked something more along the lines of Baby Mix Me a Drink. I like a little humor with my free labor. I am a firm believer in the usefulness of babies. We want them to pick up their toys, to return stuff to their rightful place, why not just take it to the next level? My nephew loves cars, can't get enough of them in his tiny little hands. Next time I'm gonna read him Baby Fix My Car.
If only there were a little book entitled Baby Write Me a Novel. Apparently, there is a something called Write Me a Novel...but it's an album.
