Do You Have a Life Map?

There's a lively discussion going on over at BlogHer.com this month about a book that asks you to think about your past, present and future, then map out what you want and expect in various parts of your life - family, friends, learning, work, service, and play.

Do you map out or set goals for your life? Should you? How might it change you?

The book is a brand new guided journal - MY LIFE MAP: A Journal to Help You Shape Your Future, by Kate & David Marshall (Gotham Books, $16). Yes, it's my book.

The fabulous Karen Ballum (aka Sassymonkey) is leading the discussion with provocative reflections and questions.

Her first question:  In the chapter on "Service," the book asks, "Do you generally prefer to give time or money to solve problems?" Karen asks, "What does service look like on your map? Are you more likely to give time, money, or both?"
