I am terribly thrilled to have discovered Red Room. Not only is it a fantastic resource to stalk, uh, learn about other authors, it has now become an important weapon in my arsenal of shiny, shiny procrastination-inducers.
Right now I should be finishing the final edits for my newest book. I should be working on an outline for the book after that one. I should be brainstorming. I should be wooing prospective readers with well thought out, witty marketing tactics that no one else has thought of yet.
Instead, I tweak my Author Page. I listen to a little Coldplay, and then a little Amy Winehouse, and then I watch 30 Rock, and then I eat a brownie. I come back, I edit my bio a little more, I eat another brownie.
Wait. Wasn't I supposed to be working on my book tonight? What day is it anyway? I still have two days until it's due. Shoot. I'm going to have another brownie!
Well, now the baby is awake. Guess I'll work on those edits tomorrow. I'm still eating that brownie right now, though.
Ah, tomorrow. Ah, brownies.
