Well, today's the day: my science fiction novel Twin-Bred is free (for Kindle) on Amazon today and tomorrow, Wednesday Feb. 15th and Thursday Feb. 16th.

Some authors have found that if a book has better reviews than sales, a few days of giving it away somehow takes it to that much-sought tipping point where people start telling each other about it and others start buying it. From their mouths to God's ear. . . .

Even if that doesn't happen, if enough people download the book, and if some fair percentage of them then read it (but how to know if that happens?), I'll feel less silly about publishing the sequel. (Those who've read the book have been asking for a sequel, and I'd love to oblige them!)
