One of the interesting aspects of writing a novel is that I need to track my characters' activities. If they were real people, this would be considered stalking and I could justifiably be served with a restraining order. If this were to happen, I guess I could consider it a testament to the strength of my character development skills.
This would be the only way I would want to be involved in stalking. Perhaps a new term is in order: stalking of the mind. We writers stalk our characters in our minds. And sometimes they also stalk us in order to encourage us to tell their stories.
