The American Library Association has released their list of Notable Books for 2008, and I'm delighted to report that Finn is on it.
To be singled out for endorsement by America's libraries is about as thrilling a bit of acceptance as any writer can imagine. And I'm in good company, too: Also on the list are Amy Bloom's Away, Michael Chabon's The Yiddish Policemen's Union, and Ian McEwan's On Chesil Beach, among other wonderful works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Be sure to check out the full list for yourself.
On another note: Finn arrives in paperback on March 11, my tour starts on March 24, and the Finn Book Club Menu Contest closes on February 25. Details on the whole works are at my web site.
