Born 1954, brought up in Southampton, UK. Former teacher and comunity worker. An established writer of fiction and drama, primarily for young people, shortlisted for the Childrens Book Award and Writers Guild Best Children's TV Script; noted for originality, humour and dialogue. Wales winner of BBC Talent radio comedy competition. For five years lecturer in creative writing at the University of Glamorgan; over thirty years’ experience of teaching at every level of the education system; lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Wales, Newport, and teaches a range of workshops to primary and secondary children. Resident in Cardiff since 1987. Now involved in community songwriting projects such as Adamsdown Sings.
