When you ride the backroads in national parks, like I enjoy doing, you often see road signs that report the elevation, like: Altitude 1,200 Feet.
You see a lot of these in places like Yosemite National Park or Yellowstone, where there are lots of mountains.
I was riding through the Everglades recently and went over a small hump in the road and noticed an altitude sign. It read: Altitude 3 Feet.
I was wondering. Is that high tide, or low tide?
