Music maestro please. Da da da, da da da, daaaaaa . . . . . And the winner is . . . . . I don’t have a clue.
Last Thursday, on January 31, 2013, somewhere around noon, the 10,000th person looked at my RedRoom blog page (or whatever the thing is called). I felt like I should give them a gift or something, but I don’t know who they are. But I am grateful that 10,000 people took the time to look at my work. It is flattering, to say the least.
I found out about RedRoom in February, 2001, and I immediately signed up. It is a great forum for writers like me to express my feelings and ideas in a very efficient and cost-effective manner (it is free unless you want to be a RedRoom Author, and so easy a 4 year old can do it). I know because a 4-year-old taught me how to make it work.
I got the 10,000th hit in just under 2 years (15 days short of my 2-year anniversary). I know others get a lot more traffic on their pages, but hey, I am not in a race with anyone and I will never be a Tim Wise (RedRoom legend on the hit parade).
I have learned that when I place content on my blog page, I get more hits, so I plan to ramp it up this year and see if I can generate 10,000 hits in a single year. I guess it could help if I finish my soon-to-be-award-winning political thriller MOONSHINE. By the way, I am releasing excerpts of MOONSHINE bit by bit, so keep looking.
And thanks for the attention.
