Born in Guelph, Ontario. Educated at York University (BA, MA in English) and later at Naropa University's Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, where I worked with Allen Ginsberg, Anne Waldman, William Burroughs, and Robert Duncan. A traveller, I have lived in Egypt, Iraq and Japan as well as various places in Eastern Canada. My other pursuits include photography and improvising music. I now am Professor of Learning and Teaching at Centennial College in Toronto, where I do curriculum and faculty development.
