Okay, so wow, I cannot believe how quickly I've gotten to the middle point of my NanoWrimo Book. I'm at 26,006 after only ten days. This means I'm actually ahead of schedule. Not sure, but I think this is the first time in my life I've been this ahead of, well, of anything. Good stuff. 

 To be honest a whole lot of this has to do with how excited I am at the story. I'm really having a lot of fun. This one's not got a ton of weight on it, so I'm lucky in that regard. Some people have asked me details on the story, but a funny thing happened. I put a little pitch on another writer's site I frequent, and even though the comments were well-intentioned, they threw me off. See: I'm too paranoid, and it made me second guess the whole book. I nearly lost a day of work because, I swear, I nearly turned back!

 "This is stupid!" I spat. "This is a bad idea, this story. Everyone's going to think I'm just silly." Well, after taking a day off, I figured, hell, I've read worse, and paid top dollar for it. If I'm going to be a hack, or someone's going to think that of me, forget it. I've had bottles thrown at me while playing in bands, which is far worse than any critical slam I can ever get. Hopefully.
