On Sat. April 28, I will speak on the value of learning and teaching about important aspects of Chinese American history that I was never taught in my school history books. The event is sponsored by local chapters of the Organization of Chinese Americans, National Council of Chinese Americans, C.A.C.A, and the 1882 Project.
It will be a great opportunity to meet people in the D. C. area with whom I've had e-contact with but never had a chance to meet in person. Moreover, I have a chance to visit with at least 3 former students from California who are now studying, teaching, or working in the area.
