Book Signings: When It Rains, It Pours

You can't control when you get opportunities to do book signings, so you grab them when you get good opportunities.  But it may be a bit crazy (for me at least) to do 5 events from coast to coast within 2 weeks.  On April 22, I get to do one close to home for a fundraiser for the Long Beach Public Library Foundation at the Forbidden City Restaurant. Then I head for Washington, D. C. to speak at the national seminar of the U. S. China People's Friendship Association at the Washington Plaza Hotel on April 26 and to a joint meeting of the Organization of Chinese Americans and the National Council of Chinese Americans on April 28 at a, what else, Chinese restaurant.

I get to come home for a few days before heading to Portland, Oregon to speak at a fundraiser for the Portland Chinese Scholarship Foundation on May 3. When I get home, a producer from Hong Kong media, RTHK TV, wants to interview me for a documentary they are making about Chinese laundry and Chinese restaurant history.  After that, I probably won't get another audience until who knows when.  Carpe diem!
