Joe Jervis is the author of Joe.My.God., the popular LGBT news and culture blog  named "Best Gay Blog," Village Voice "Best Political Blog,"  Advocate Magazine's Readers' Favorite", and After Elton's 2009  "Website Of The Year," among numerous other awards. 

One of the Top 100 most widely-read political blogs in America, Joe.My.God. focuses on gay rights, LGBT youth, queer culture, and fights every day to expose anti-gay bigotry and hypocrisy.

In 2010, Joe was honored as the Ali Forney Center's "Advocate Of The Year."

In 2009 Joe was named one of Instinct Magazine's Men Of The Year.

Also that year Joe was the recipient of the LGBT Anti-Violence Project "Courage Award" for his campaign against anti-gay hate crimes and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom proclaimed October 10th to be "Joe Jervis Day." 
  
For his ten years in New York City, Joe has also been on the staff of Pride Magazine, the official national title of LGBT pride where he is Editor At Large and Senior Writer. Joe's work has been published Pride Magazine as well as numerous other LGBT publications. His activism and blog has been cited in the New York Times, Washington Post, Village Voice, and many other national news outlets. Joe is a frequent guest on talk radio to discuss breaking news items of LGBT interest.
