grrrrr
Blog Post by Jodi Thompson - May.01.2009 - 7:38 am
I'm sooooo angry. Obsessed with anger. Can't stop thinking how angry I am. Grrrrrr. It's overtaken me, making my heart pound, my stomach churn and my head ache. I should go mow the lawn - a good activity to burn away the anger - but the grass is only to seed in a few places and it's begun to rain. I can't face housework - another good activity to burn away the anger. Perhaps a fast walk in the rain? Hmm. We'll see if that works...

I hope you have found a
I hope you have found a release of your anger. I think we all have those days.
How about a wonderful bubble
How about a wonderful bubble bath with some soothing classical music in the background and some candles and a glass of champagne and a box of the most expensive dark chocolates and then you could slip into some silk number and a pair of knobbly old fuzzy socks and watch a quirky ancient black and white movie....... and...when your tummy starts to grumble, as it does after a few chocs, you can order a fabulous crab salad delivered on a silver tray to your bed. Anger will fade as you put a fine white linen napkin to your smiling lips.
Jodi, we may be of more help if
you would confide to us the cause of your anger.
thank you very much
Thanks, Wende. I did take a long walk before this downpour hit full force and it helped a lot.
Dennis, my anger was just the budget upset at my church, again. One trustee was rather rude to me in an email and it got my goat a bit. After talking with the office admin, and a good friend, I realize this is just the way this trustee is. She isn't careful how she says/writes things to people - kind of like a bulldozer. I asked my husband and my brother if I had done the right thing and they both agreed I had. So I'm not going to worry about it any longer. It's a done deal.
Mary, I LOVE your scenario! It's totally beyond my actual standard of living, but I love it all the same. It made me smile just to read and imagine it.
Thank you, Red Roomers, for letting me vent.
Couple good stiff belts of
Couple good stiff belts of Cuervo, I say. Half a dozen ought to do it.
Seriously, Jodi, all the good books advise compassion toward all other beings, even the insensitive (or even outright vicious) ones. You know this. Breathe deeply. All will be as it should.
Captain Morgan instead
I prefer rum to tequila.
I know what you're saying, Ron. And I told myself that. I'm over it. Just finished my strange concoction (cherry sparkling water, cranberry-grape juice and spiced rum - don't laugh, it's yummy) and I'm off to bed. Not quite up to Mary's standard, but had a nice dinner with my husband (after a nap and early 'dessert') of grilled steaks and sauteed cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper and garlic with some mashed potatoes. Fresh strawberries, whipped cream and yellow cake for edible dessert. Yum.
I'm glad I at least was able to not get mean and nasty back during this mess. Yay, me.
Thanks, everyone!
