where the writers are
an eternal optimist

I thought it was kismet, reading about Script Frenzy right when I'd gotten laid off from my job. I thought: Here I have nothing else to do but write, and this little contest of sorts will force me to do so. Ha. Was I wrong. My mother has decided to get her knee replaced and guess who has the honor of taking care of her before, during and after. And my husband has waited until now to do the taxes. Guess who pays all the medical and tuition bills that need tallying. That's right, folks: Me! Less time and quiet than I thought in April. Oh, well. The surgery is scheduled for April 13 and she'll be out of it for at least a day or so, right? And taxes are due April 15, so after that there should be less interruptions, right?

Sometimes my optimism makes me laugh.

And to think I once envied you who had "all day" to write. :-)

filling spaces

Don't you find that whenever there is a space - of time, on the kitchen table, in the garden shed - it fills. And not with the things that you THOUGHT would be good to put there! Luckily, there is often a less discernible space somewhere else, if we look hard, that we can squeeze that something into or onto. Good luck with the script!
