Jill Hedgecock is an active-status member of the Mount Diablo Branch of the California Writer’s Club where she has served as a judge for the Young Writer’s Contest since 2008 and became co-chair of the contest in 2013. She is a self-proclaimed contest junkie with short stories and essays often taking first or second place. Her essays have appeared in Bark Magazine and the Contra Costa Times. She is currently pursuing publication of her young adult novels, Between Shadow’s Eyes and From Shadow's Perspective, as well as her historical fiction novel, Seven Little Eyes.
