I feel incredibly insulted! After four years of court and a triumph with the Supreme Court the citizens of California lost their minds. Okay only about half of them lost their minds and decided they had the right to take away my civil right to marry my partner. We were only married for four days before the slap in the face came.
But I don't feel depressed. Angry and insulted though. But I'll take it as a challenge to renew efforts to educate those who don't know what the Constitution is supposed to be about. And to help rally the LGBT community to be better organized and not so trusting. I finished my novel in the midst of all of this so I can't complain too bitterly. If somebody buys it it'll be almost as good as having full civil rights.
