Jessie Janeshek is co-editor of the book Outscape: Writings on Fences and Frontiers. A doctoral candidate in English at the University of Tennessee, she holds an M.F.A. in poetry from Emerson College, Boston. While an undergraduate at Bethany College, Bethany, West Virginia, she lived in England for a year and a half, studying literature at Magdalen College, Oxford University, and Regents College, London. Her poetry appears in Washington Square, Passages North, EvaMag, Review Americana, Yemassee, and Caduceus and has been anthologized in the collections The Movable Nest: A Mother/Daughter Companion and Motif: Writing by Ear. She promotes her belief in the power of creative writing as community outreach by participating in a variety of volunteer workshops. She is a freelance editor and also works as a writing instructor at UT.
