Jessica Pittman's Biography

I actually found out about Red Room from Eckstut and Sterry's Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published. They encourage their readers to familiarize themselves with the writing world in places like Red Room. I'm excited to jump in the Red Room and find some new books to read and authors to follow.

I'm a thirty year old wife and mother who would love nothing more than to finish my book and have it published. It's been a life-long goal of mine ever since I can remember. Growing up, my mother encouraged my love for writing, always praising my short stories and sharing them with family members. But after two college degrees and settling on teaching middle schoolers for five in a half LONG years, I decided that it wasn't for me. Thankfully my husband agreed. One job change, a move across town, and ten months later I find myself here on your website's "about me" page stretching my mind for interesting tid bits about me. The truth is, I don't find myself all that interesting. I just hope my characters are. And I really don't think knowing my favorite color or what my favorite topping on a pizza is will encourage you to read anything I write (green and tomatoes, if you are wondering). So there you have it. My pathetic "all about me" in a nut shell. Cheers!
