My feeling is that it is a miracle we all aren't dead. We drive two ton machines down concrete roads at high speeds. We don't pay much attention as it is, have blind spots where semis can hide, and make mistakes, as people do.
But then we decide we are going to talk on the phone. Worse, we might even want to text someone at the same time, or just after we hang up. We are multi-tasking as we hurtle down the highways. We are listening to our books on tape, eating a big deli sandwich, and singing at the top of our lungs.
Why aren't we all dead? This is reason enough to start believing in a higher power.
My wish for everyone with a phone is a Bluetooth headset. Might save lives.
Today--don't talk on the phone while you drive unless you have a headset on. See how it feels. Count up the people you didn't kill and drive safe!
