A Folly Beach, SC update: a strange mass tiny bivalve mass burial. Upon arriving in Folly Beach, the odor of, well, death was undeniable.
"Sewage," I said.
"Crabs," Kris said.
Dead bivalves we discovered during our run yesterday morning.
Today, the town elders must have snapped to. Three big pieces of machinery and many men with rakes and shovels. It's over now, but a very strange thing. I wondered why the bivalves decided to beach themselves, but there was no one to ask this question, especially not the bivlaves.
Off to the odorless day!
