The big news last week was that Wonder Woman has a new look. Yes, when that lady is fighting for the red white and blue, we have to remember she's a lady. However, does the new look work? I asked several designers, plus did a senance with departed ones, to get valuable opinions....
Coco Chanel: Does she always have to wear the tiara? She could get away with a hat. Also why not a better little jacket? I know I have a sample around here somewhere...
Edith Head: My God, she looks dreadful. Absolutely dreadful. Now I see Wonder Woman as Elizabeth Taylor in her early years. I'm thinking a red dress with blue and white stars. Wait, she's going to be jumping off things. How about slacks? Not white, but blue could be smashing!
Diana Vreeland: I have to agree with Edith. The girl should try and accesorize some more. Maybe something with that golden lasso? I should have her over and we can discuss my memoir DV.
Nina Garcia, fashion consultant at Marie Claire: Finally! You talk to an actual real life person! What can I tell you, she looks awe-ful. Like she should be walking down Times Square and wondering if she'll get busted tonight. Why not red boots? She would stand out in red boots!
Michael Kors: Wonder honey, you need to get your money back on this makeover. I agree with Nina; yes, the hot pants are a bit dated. You can jazz it up a bit! Maybe red and white pants, or how about blue leggings?
Donatella Versarce: Who is this Wonder Woman? I am Wonder Woman! I run a business and look beautiful. Pish on this Wonder Woman!
There you go, Wonder Woman. Sometimes you shouldn't mess with timeless style. Still love you. You're such a lady, lady.
